With Earth Day just a few days away, I’ve partnered with thredUP to think about sustainable living and environmental consciousness. So what’s Project Re:Made you ask? Inspired by art that makes us rethink our views, team thredUP commissioned 12 artists to create artworks in response to the statement “Climate Change is Not Real”. The creations are a mix of cute, funny, ironic and provocative tongue-in-cheek response to climate change denial. They then screen-printed the artwork onto secondhand white tees from their inventory and will be selling them starting on April 17th. All net proceeds benefit carbon offset non-profit Cool Effect who is fighting hard to reduce carbon pollution. Here is the thrEDIT blog post delving into their inspirations behind this campaign and why everyone should ponder the environment. There is also a fabulous roundup of some of thredUP’s favorite eco-bloggers that show people it’s possible to live fully and sustainably. Below are the designs for the amazing used T-shirts to start a conversation about climate change through sustainable fashion.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of threadUP. The opinions and text are all mine.
